This week was soooooooo stressful with transfers, temporarily staying in the YSA Ward, getting a new companion on Thursday, and then stressing over peoples salvation! Haha, but man we worked hard! I don't think I've ever been more stressed in my life than this week... STRESS is just so stressful sometimes... ;)

What happens when Elders get free sonic... ft. Elder Tipton
Tuesday: November 5th
Today was combined District council, basically the whole Zone comes together for a big meeting. Except this isn't my zone, haha! I'll be the only Montrose Zone missionary in the Grand Junction Zone meeting. But nevertheless, it was most definitely a revelatory experience. We are getting a new missionary handbook which will be "principles based." This means that instead of 5000 rules to keep us in check we can seek answers to our own questions, seek our own inspiration/revelation, and live by the principles of the Gospel instead of doing and not doing certain things. I love the direction the CDSM is going! We taught a few people at the Institute building and those lessons went really well.
TRANSFER NEWS:
Oh. My. Gosh. You will NOT believe it. President Rees called me himself! (usually only the Assistants do) He told me that I was STAYING in Naturita!! I was so relieved... BUT that's not all... President Rees asked me if I could be the District Leader!!! WHAT?! THEN he ALSO asked if I could be a follow up TRAINER for Elder Garstin! President Rees knew he could trust me with all this, but holy cow I got so stressed. I'll get Elder Garstin on Thursday and we'll head back to Rita, but he has only been out for 6 weeks and I get to train him after myself only being out 3 months haha! Wow. District Leader AND Trainer... this huge weight of responsibility just got placed on my shoulders, but I definitely am excited to serve my District and to serve my companion as their leader this next transfer! Should be very humbling indeed :)
Wednesday: November 6th
Still stressed... we had a mission wide leadership call with President Rees and we went over each Zone and their needs. Also we actually ate breakfast with the William's who are great family friends who live in Grand Junction! That was super awesome to see them :)
Elder Stoddard and I got pretty stressed again trying to organize transfers and plan lessons. We basically have to call every single person who's getting transferred to or from the two zones in Grand Junction. So. Much. Stress. :)3>
Elder Stoddard
Have I mentioned stress yet in this email? Haha... ;) Crazy enough we had dinner with some members but they invited over the SISTERS too! It was kinda weird eating dinner with the Sisters there. Really busy day. I think I've lost my appetite for everything, we just have no time to eat. This one lady told Elder Stoddard, "Dont be sad" and then told me, "And you, don't be skinny! You need meat." Savage, I'm not that skinny! Kind of... :)
Thursday: November 7th
Transfer day! We got to the church and got everyone sorted out where they were going. Everyone could see how stressful it was for Elder Stoddard and I to organize everything but once it was I got to meet Elder Garstin! Right off the bat I could tell that he was an awesome missionary who's willing to work hard. He's already pretty familiar with the lessons so training him won't be too difficult, just helping him create a vision for Naturita and helping him develop charity towards those we teach :)

Elder Garstin, my new companion ill train!
We drove 2 hours home, Elder Garstin was very surprised at how rural Nucla is, I just laughed as he saw our flippin AWESOME trailerhome! I swear one of these days I'll retire and be content with living in a trailerhome in the desert for the rest of my life, haha! I took Elder Garstin around to meet a few of our people we teach. Good thing none of them were ARRESTED... haha. We were able to talk with Tina, she's struggling again :( But we got a lesson setup, so please pray that we can keep helping her overcome her trials and find peace in Christ!
Two hour drive anyone??
Friday: November 8th
I initiated Elder Garstin into the Naturita area... which means we ran our driveway in 12° weather haha. We had an amazing lesson with Tina. We set a goal for November 16th for her to be clean from all her addictions so that she can be ready for her baptism on the 30th! We helped her envision getting out of the water and giving her daughters a big hug, she was crying and saying that she could picture that day. I know that Tina can do it! Before I even came to Naturita in August Tina was labeled as a "lost cause," but now she's been changed more than ever by her willingness to leave behind the past and follow her Savior :)
Saturday: November 9th
Elder Garstin and I made top ramen with each other... how's that for comp unity? ;) Today I introduced Elder Garstin to Matt and Jamie! Matt was totally on some spiritual high, haha. But at least we came out smelling like smoke instead of weed. Weed smoke is the worst guys... ;) We went over to Tina's and she had a mental breakdown. She has some really negative feelings towards herself and doesnt think she can meet God's high expectations. We were able to help her realize her worth as a daughter of God, and she said, "I don't want to live like this anymore" and "I can do this." I could see her determination to overcome her trials and hold backs. Satan definitely is working hard on her, especially being so close to her baptismal date. It's like trying to handle hot fire with our bare hands, we'll have to suffer for a bit before we can get her to the right place.
Dolores River again!
Sunday: November 10th
Drove two hours to Stake Conference... that was fun, good thing I love long car rides! I had an interview with my mission president, President Rees. He is awesome and loves all his missionaries enough to hold them to high standards. We drove home and realized we forgot to get gas so in the middle of Dallas Divide we got the low fuel signal!! :0
But guess what? After a lot of coasting and prayers we made it home (and calculated it) with about 0.064 gallons left in the tank!! Dannnng! ;) Luckily our landlords had some gas at their house when we got there haha. We went over to Tina's house AGAIN. This time she asked some great questions that we were able to discuss. We taught the Restoration, which is how we explain how our church differs from every other one and why it's unique, and we got it boiled down to where Tina told us, "I don't know, I'll have to pray about it." She's really struggling, but that's all we can ask her to do is pray! To seek her own personal revelation and spiritual confirmation of the truths we bring forth to her. That's all we can do, is leave it up to her choice and still respect that decision/support her in whatever path she chooses.
I don't see the stress getting any lower anytime soon, but I'll manage :) It's not like I'm, "Concerned about your Salvation and stuff!"

This month will be the death of me, love you all,
Elder LaRose
