WEEK #10 - Transfering? Goodbye Nucla?? Goodbye Trailerhome?!?

Hey everyone!!

Looks like I get to stay another transfer in Naturita! I already LOVE this place so much as I hope you all can tell from these emails haha :) And before your heart rate accelerates dont worry I DO get to stay in my flippin awesome trailer home! Yessssss ;)

Colorado Avenue, Telluride

Who's ready for yet ANOTHER week of craziness??

Monday: September 23rd
I totally have to cover the rest of what we did in Telluride... well, more of what we DIDNT do haha. We were finishing up some last minute emails and rushed out to catch our bus. Well... we got on the wrong bus going UP to Mountain Village! I asked the bus driver, "Does this take us to Norwood?" And she literally said nothing, turned around the bus and gunned it on the gas pedal back! Luckily we did catch the ride bus back home :) Telluride was really fun, but rather expensive haha

Missing the bus in Telluride!

Tuesday: September 24th
We went up again to Montrose for District Council which was really awesome! We had to combine districts because Elder Allen (our former district leader) finished his mission. Once we got back we talked with this girl named Melissa who has a baby boy. As we were reading scriptures with her the baby THREW UP all over the floor AND I cleaned it all up for her! Haha! I can't say I've ever done that before... At least I got to share a really cool quote I heard from a really awesome person, "Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous." ;) Later on we got to talk to Tina who said she was really appreciative of how much we've helped her. I've seen her in a matter of a few weeks go from leading a really careless lifestyle to wanting to clean up her life and get rid of some really bad influences. And it's all because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! The fact that such a message can bring so much joy to people's lives is a testimony to me that it IS true! I really hope we can continue to help Tina on her path towards baptism and finding joy through following our Savior :)
I love nametags....

Wednesday: September 25th
Today we got to talk to Dan! He's another one of our people here in Nucla interested in being baptized and being able to follow Christ more fully in his life. He's very soft hearted and humble, I have faith we can bring him closer to Christ through the message we share :) Elder Gunson and I are really excited for this next transfer, we made a goal to work even harder and to be more faithful, diligent, and obedient to our purpose! And our purpose is simply to invite others to come closer to Christ. We actually got our transfer calls yesterday and the new thing that happened is that Elder Gunson is the new district leader! Basically a few missionaries left and a few came into our area and now whenever we go to Montrose for district council he will be the one to direct and lead everyone there.

Thursday: Septemeber 26th
Talked to our "patch in the back" friend today and she wouldn't shake our hands. I'm glad because she had weed on them from harvesting it haha! She said that she couldn't quit using weed or else she'd have really bad symptoms. A few minutes later she also claimed that weed had no withdrawals and that it was fine for "old people like me" to use it.... Wow. I really hope and pray for people like that, I love them but I also love them enough to tell them they are wrong. So many people here in Nucla are like this, that's why it brings me such great joy to see people actually want to change like Tina and Roberta! Pray for them please :) Also today we went back to the SAME house with the turkey that was chasing me around, haha! But this time..... they had a HORSE in their yard! I booked it to the nearest tree and it was walking around the tree trying to eat me.... I swear I'm going to die from all the animals wanting revenge on me haha :)

should I jump in?

Friday: September 27th
First of all good luck to my good friend Elder Midgley on his flight to Australia! Go serve your hardest in the down under :) Today we went to the church to watch another one of those new Book of Mormon videos. Those things are SO HYPE! It's like the only form of video entertainment we have so Elder Gunson and I were getting so hyped at everything, haha. It's all we have out here in the desert, just some people, some sagebrush, and a whole lotta Jesus! Haha, we walked outside the church only to come upon THREE sheriff cars, a fire truck, and two ambulances!! There was a totalled truck literally TEN feet from our car that was parked outside the church! Dang! Luckily no one was hurt, that was close.

Casual truck in Naturita

We ended the day with yet another powerful lesson with Roberta! We taught about the priesthood (God's power to act in His name) and then we invited her to be baptized if she found out that our church had that priesthood authority and she said yes!! She still has fears about coming to church but each time we meet with her I usually cry cause the Spirit is so strong and I can feel the love that God has for her! I admit, I'm a cryer! ;) Haha, I guess when I cry that just shows how much I really do care for Roberta and for the people here in Naturita. I love being a missionary! There's such a strong presence of the Holy Ghost in each lesson and it brings me great joy to help others find the light that's missing in their life :) My advice: simply love others. When you see past what they were, or what they are now, and love them for who they can become THAT'S when we feel the pure love of Christ for them!
Dannnnng Gina :)

Saturday: September 28th
Soooo..... I get to drive now.... permanently. Haha! For the rest of this transfer I'll get to drive because Elder Gunson got his DP's (Driving privileges) taken away for driving too aggressively haha. It's now my responsibility to NOT die, but at least I get to drive around this amazing country doing the best thing I love to do, missionary work! :) We had another lesson with Melissa, the woman with the baby boy, and while we were there the baby THREW UP AGAIN!! Holy cow, all I said was "time for my calling" and cleaned the throw up again for her... even CRAZIER (how can it get crazier you ask?) Well do you remember Matt and Jamie? They are the classic nacho cheese chips/weed plate story people :) Well... they got ARRESTED! What?! That's why they weren't opening to door to our knocks this week... Dang! Well they got their little baby taken away and then got put in prison so we might have to now write a testimonial to the State Court to advocate that they are good people and deserve to get their baby back. Wow. So much happens in such a little town!
 My lungs hate me

Sunday: September 29th
Church was really awesome! I went up and bore my testimony on Helaman 3:34-35 which covers how we must be willing to humble ourselves, grow firmer in our faith in Christ, and yield our hearts unto God if we truly desire to receive His guidance and build a strong and sure foundation upon Christ. This foundation can and will last forever! So I invite you all to build upon your foundation in Christ and trust in His perfect plan for you :) Also at church they introduced a new children and youth program that focuses on strengthening young kid's faith in Christ and help them progress with their families to better face lifes challenges. I love how amazing the revelation from God is, He truly knows how to best direct His church and further His ways!

"And no man knoweth of His ways save it be revealed unto him; wherefore, brethren, despise not the revelations of God."

We cannot know the plan God has in store for us unless we diligently seek to receive personal revelation for ourselves from God :) Simply, pray sincerely and ask Heavenly Father in faith for His guidance and you will receive it! For the rest of today we had dinner with some members and got to drive home through a glorious sunset. Dang, I love the Naturita Area! It may look like the forsaken desert land of Narnia but it for sure is the promised land!  And yes, Narnia is green I know... ;)

I love you all so much, and especially love getting all your emails! I'm free every week, well I dont know about next week.... wait... nevermind, I'm free for two years. Email me anytime ;)

Love,

WEEK #9 - "I Looked at the Sun...It Hurt"

A few realizations before I start:

- Just realized that my trailer home is PINK haha :)
- Also realized that no matter how many times you look at the sun it's still going to burn your eyes... haha *slaps forehead*

Just chilling with the comp eating bacon sandwich

Anyways, great week this week, I hope you all continue to enjoy reading them but my invitation to you all is to read the Book of Mormon. It's such a powerful book and has changed my entire life! It tells me how I can follow Christ more in my life and gain great blessings through becoming a member of His true church. Don't be afraid to begin this path! God will help you know what is right :)

Monday: Septemeber 21st
Today for pday we went to this shop and I saw a big half American half Colorado flag wooden picture.... my weakness haha. I bought it. I got to email a lot of goofy people and family as well ;) I love you all and love hearing from all of ya! We had a lesson with Tina and she told us "I need to commit." What a powerful statement! What do you need to change in your life so that you can more fully commit to the Gospel? Where can you begin? Ask the missionaries! :) Haha, we also had a lesson with Roberta again. I love her she's so cool, shes like another grandma to me now haha. She opened up to us about her past and the Spirit was there strongly in the lesson comforting her, she's been progressing really well. :)

Tuesday: September 17th
CRAZY STORY:
Oh my gosh, some people! Elder Gunson and I were in Norwood knocking houses and we knock on this one mans house and he opens the door and immediately rolls his eyes in pure disgust the instant he sees us and tries to shut the door of us. But his REALLY big St. Bernard got in the doorway and was trying to go outside. Elder Gunson helped the man push the dog back inside only to have the man slam the door on Elder Gunson's hand! Gosh, we walked away from the house down the road and turn around to see the SAME big dog we just helped get in coming out right at us. In an instant it snapped and the big dog started attacking Elder Gunson! We bolted out of there but luckily he wasn't hurt. Dang gina! Some people are just flat out rude sicking their dog on us, haha oh well, mission life! :)

Wednesday: September 18th
Today was AWESOME. We met Elder Wong of the Seventy. Basically he is a very important one of the leaders in our church. We were in Grand Junction and he taught us an unforgettable lesson on 1. Humility 2. Working diligently and unified 3. Working with the members in our area and 4. How to become better disciples of Christ. Elder Gunson and I, being from Nucla, had a 2 hour drive back and didn't get home till 9pm haha. We had a lot of time to talk in the car.

Sunsets.... :)
Thursday: September 19th
Today we taught Tina again about the parable of the sower in Matthew 13! We talked about some "weeds" in our life that are growing in our spiritual gardens and are choking our testimony. Tina has really come far and I think she really can see the light at the end of all our struggles she's dealt with for years. We did some service for the Sarffs and we got to stack wood! Yay! Haha, I despised stacking wood as a kid but once Elder Gunson saw how neatly I stack every piece of wood he stopped stacking and just gave the pieces to me to stack haha. They all fit like legos so I love stacking wood now. It's great being able to dedicate two years of your life to just serving others full time. To help them come closer to Christ by getting rid of harmful habits and to reach out to those who need to feel of God's love for them. I hope I have done this for some of you who are reading this. I hope that in the time I knew you that I reached out to you when you were struggling, I hope that you saw something in me that was different. I hope you see the blessings of living a righteous life, please do not succumb to the temptation of living a casual life. If you still need help, dont be afraid to reach out to me and especially to those around you. That's the whole point of my mission and the whole point of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. Come, follow Christ and you will find peace in Him. :)

Friday: September 20th
Happy 20th! Twas a good day, we talked with Matt and Jamie again :) They are the infamous "weed story" people haha, I love them so much! We were at their house and a 16yr old kid is there, his eyes are straight red, and he's smoking weed right in our faces. When we left I told Elder Gunson, "I smell like weed" cause our clothes reeked haha! All I had was a deodorant stick so we rubbed it on our white shirts so we didn't have to suffer smelling the weed that is engrained in our clothes haha. We basically wear a shirt that smells the least like weed each day, thank goodness for washers and detergent haha!

Saturday: September 21st
Today there was the Naturita Blues and Folk Festival! We got to talk to a lot of people and invite them to church :) It was a very nice day, I cant believe how fast time is going by but I love soaking in all the time that I have here. As crazy as people are here I'm not that much different so it works out haha ;)

Sunday: September 22nd
I got to give a talk today about missionary service! I wonder why... :) It was great, we brought an Mark who we've been teaching for a few weeks. As soon as I finished my talk he got up and walked the 5 MILES back to Nucla! What? Haha, maybe he needed some reflective time. We had dinner with the Dyers and thankfully Jasper wasn't running around the house butt naked today :)

Telluride Pic ;)

Monday: September 23rd
Today was AWESOME. We were actually able to visit Telluride for pday!! It is SOO beautiful and I would highly recommend coming. The elevation at town level is 8,750 ft and the peak is 13,320 ft!! Dang, I love it up here!

 Love my mission mountains!

WEEK #8 - "STRIKE ME DOWN!!!" - The Emperor

Wow.

That's my week :) This one you'll want to grab some popcorn for! And you also may want to re-watch Star Wars Return of the Jedi to understand this email.... :)

Monday: September 9th
We got to teach someone today and they asked about baptism because she really wanted to be baptized with her kids! She wants the influence of God more abundantly in her life. We were so excited to see someone so willing to follow Christ's example of being baptized and receive greater joy in doing so! What a blessing it is to be able to help people unite themselves and their families to the true fold of God :) I hope they can continue to prepare themselves and have a desire to learn more and rely on Christ along the way!

Tuesday: September 10th
Drove up for district council and then exchanged with Elder Berry as Elder Gunson got to stay up in Cimarron this time! He handed me the keys to the car and I was so excited! This'll be the first time that I get to drive a car on my mission! Elder Berry and I got to Nucla safe, I loved being able to drive through Uncompahgre myself.

First time driving, and exchanges with Elder Berry!

We talked to this man who was obviously drunk, he kept joking about how he's going to take us to the strip club after our missions... he told us "two years and we're going to the strip joint, just put on those eye guards like the horses do!" Oh my gosh... we just laughed at how ridiculous the people here are sometimes haha!! It started pouring down rain and lightning, I made us tract houses just for the fun of being drenched completely :)

Wednesday: September 11th
Elder Berry and I, with me driving, headed out to a lesson with a woman named Tina. She told us that she knew she had been careless with her lifestyle and wanted to make changes in her life that would set a good example for her kids. We all felt the Spirit really strong and we invited her to be baptized! With tears in her eyes (and ours haha) she accepted our invitation and is willing to let us help her make much needed changes in order to follow Christ and be baptized. :)
First time making pancakes! Haha, ill need help for college for sure...

Now for the CRAZY story haha! We drove up to Norwood and prayed about what street we should go walk down. It was the SAME street we went to 4 weeks ago.... Mesa Street. *Cue suspenseful music* Haha, Elder Berry and I were walking down the street and met this man watering his flowers and asked if we could introduce ourselves. He looked up and said "Oh, I know who you are" and then just begins to rant and swear at us with every swear word under the sun and yelling all manner of harsh and angry words.... at that instant my mind flashes back to when I was watching Star Wars: Return of the Jedi at the scene where the Emperor can sense Luke's anger and the Emperor's same words entered into my mind while listening to this disillusioned man...."I can feel your anger.....STRIKE ME DOWN!!! And your journey to the dark side will be complete...." I'm brought back to reality and realize that this angry man is still cursing at two boys who's average age is literally 19. We thanked him for his words of "encouragement" and continued on our way. I always love it when I find relatable Star Wars moments everywhere I go, haha! That man's journey to the dark side is complete :)

Second CRAZY story!! This happened directly after the Emperor situation haha. We knocked on a door, realizing there was a recently used blunt on the windowsill, but a man named Jonathon answered the door and let us in! He was playing chess with his friend Brannon and said that he found his "Jesus friends" haha. :) He asked us "why do you follow Jesus?" And we had a great discussion on that! We all became instant friends. They tried to give me a beer but were surprised when I told them NO first and then that I was only 18 haha! :) We talked about the Book of Mormon but then Brannon said he forfeited his chess match with Jonathon because he was being beat really bad by him haha. Jonathon then jumps up with his beer in his hand and challenges ME to a chess match! That was his first mistake... haha ;) I accepted the challenge but then I told him, "If I win you have to take this Book of Mormon and I get to setup a return appointment with you." Jonathon was laughing at that but accepted the terms. So we setup the board and proceeded the battle. Everyone had their odds on Jonathon because I was only 18.... lets just say that I walked away without that Book of Mormon in my bag anymore, haha! I took a picture of the final checkmate, I beat him so badly that he only took four of my pawns! I must've had God on my side cause God probably really wanted him to get that Book of Mormon haha!! Thank you to my friends Raf, Dexin, and especially Nathan in high school for wasting so many hours playing chess with me our Senior year, that prepared me for this moment haha :) What a hilarious experience! We shook hands and are great friends now haha, it's so awesome making friends with truly random people. I mean I played a drunk, high man over a game of chess to give him a Book of Mormon for heavens sake! Haha :) I love being a missionary...

The legendary chess match, notice the beer can? Haha

Thursday: Septemeber 12th
Happy Birthday Londyn!!! Wait a minute? Cant believe you're 17 years old haha, hope you had a good one! We re-exchanged today and it was good to be back with Elder Gunson. I loved being able to drive around Naturita and through the Uncompahgre mountains, hopefully I can drive sometime again.

Ya we cool

Friday: September 13th
It was pretty cold this morning but I got to run my dirt driveway with my altitude mask I used for wrestling season, it was so hard but definitely rewarding! We had a really great lesson with Roberta talking about God's priesthood authority. Basically the same power and authority from God that Christ used to bless people in His day is found and used in the same manner in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! What a blessing it is to know this. I've seen this same priesthood power bless my life in many ways!

Matching sweater and cats day with Elder Gunson haha

Saturday: September 14th
Today was pretty relaxed. We met two Austrian motorcyclists who drove up to us so I spoke a little German with them to point them to a motel haha!

Sunday: September 15th
Church was great today, the main theme we talked about was forgiveness. Never withhold the chance for someone to change their heart, we must show them kindness and forgiveness first. Then the rest is between them and the Lord. :)

Love you all!! Have a great week

WEEK #7 - "Sometimes Your Only Friend is God"

Hello everyone! The quote I put in for this week's title is something I said to Elder Gunson after we were talking haha! Don't worry I'm not depressed, God is a great friend to rely on haha
This week was AWESOME.
Rockin the elk shirt

Monday: September 2nd
CRAZY STORY: After Pday we went to go teach a lesson with an investigator in Nucla (Just someone interested in hearing our message of Christ). So we pull up to their house and there is literally 5 sheriff cars with their police lights blaring and we see OUR investigator getting taken out of his ex's house in handcuffs!! Well, there goes our lesson haha! He actually got arrested for having his income come only from selling stuff on the black market so..... that happened!
New background pic!!

Tuesday: September 3rd
Today we drove up to Montrose again for a combined District Council (meet with missionaries from all around the Montrose area). It was a very awesome experience, President Rees made a couple of rule changes which will help us focus better on the work. Our most promising person we're teaching, Roberta, canceled on us today but she rescheduled for Thursday which actually enabled us to go talk to a member instead who really needed some help and we gave her a blessing of comfort. It's so great to see God's hand direct His work!
Thank you Amy, Gunga, and Bode for the Broncos pillow!

Wednesday: September 4th
Today I got a huge package in the mail from my Aunt Danel and cousins! It was packed full of all sort of goodies especially some Wyoming beef, thank you!! :) Our lesson with Matt and Jamie fell through today but we got to walk around Nucla. A really cool scripture says "come ye and let us walk in the light of the Lord; yea come, for ye have all gone astray, every one to his wicked ways." I invite you all who read this to consider your relationship with the Savior Jesus Christ. How distant are you? No matter how astray we are from Christ, whether that distance is great or small, we can come back and return to Him!

Thursday: Septemeber 5th
So that lesson with Matt and Jamie.... it fell through yesterday cause they weren't there when we came by. Well... we dropped by today and Matt rushes out and says "Come look Elders! Come look at what we got yesterday!" Expecting something totally different, we walk inside their room and there is Jamie holding a NEWBORN BABY! What?!?!? Haha! We knew that Jamie was pregnant but the baby came a month early but it's healthy. Even crazier they did a homebirth too, her name is Ziggy. That was crazy haha! Then we go talk to Matt in his kitchen and he starts smoking weed next to a couple piles of weed on his table. Great. I'm just laughing inside my head all day, just another casual day in Nucla!! We also go to this family's house and their 5 year old boy ONLY walks around butt naked haha, it's pretty hilarious. As we are talking, he just runs up and around the house butt naked living the free life, haha. THEN, we had a lesson with Roberta!! We had a really great discussion on charity, and throughout the lesson I couldn't stop smiling cause I was being filled with the Spirit and with so much joy from doing missionary work! I love helping and seeing people grow so much closer in their relationship and conversion to Jesus Christ! I love the Naturita area!

Classic savagery

Friday: September 6th
Today Elder Gunson and I knocked on a door and they invited us in for Bible study haha. They had us say where we are from and once I said mine he laughed and said I had a Navajo accent haha! Glad I have my western blood back, my "mountain" accent has only magnified since being here so the east better prepare for my return in two years for a full out mountain man haha :)

Trying to look savage with my awesome camo jacket from the Tabaquache Post in Nucla

Saturday: September 7th
We had dinner with the Dyers and their 5 year old, Jasper, was still butt naked while jumping on the tramp outside for all to see haha. I got to hand out a Book of Mormon to a really cool person we contacted, the Spirit basically told me I needed to talk to them about similar hardships we've faced and gave her the book which she was very thankful for!
Comp pic

Sunday: September 8th
Today was Elder Gunson's bday!! He turns 20 dang. Well it was a great day for a bday because 54 people came to church! It's always a special and personally sacred experience at church as we take time out of our busy schedules to remember Christ and His loving sacrifice for us! We got do post some cool messages on Facebook and then we talked to a man named Dan about covenants which are just promises we make with God in which we commit our part and God gives us great blessings for keeping that commitment. We invited him to prepare for baptism on October 26th and he accepted!! I love seeing people prepare and change their lives towards God and then through baptism show God that they are willing to follow Him and keep His commandments. We will receive great blessings as we walk this path back to God! What a great opportunity it is as a missionary to bring people closer to Christ and raise their standards to live in a "more excellent way." I invite you all to make changes in your life that will enable you to live this way, God will bless you in your life with what you righteously seek after!
How my companion tries to "focus" during study time haha

Crazy week, love you all, cant wait to hear about how everyone's doing!

WEEK #6 - Righteous Decisions Bring Blessings!

Hey all!

The reason I chose this title is because the dirt road I live on is called RD-BB. I think Nucla likes to be lazy with their street names cause there's RD-AA and RD-CC and so on haha. The simple life :)
Me and my trailer house

Monday: August 26th
For the rest of PDay playing Zone sports was so fun! I was wicked sore though haha. Elder Gunson and I taught a blind lesson (knocked on a door not expecting to be let in) and that went really well! It's this lady, Roberta, who was the very first person I felt prompted to go talk to when I first showed up in the field on the 17th. For the lesson, I kinda fumbled talking like the fool I am haha but the Spirit nicely told me good job now let Elder Gunson handle this haha! :) I've got so much more to learn, and I know these experiences teach me to be more humble and patient as I develop my teaching skills! The lesson went really went, I could see her heart being more open to what we taught as the Spirit filled the room

Tuesday: August 27th
NEW thing!! I went on my very first exchange!! Basically I switch companions for about 2 days but I also get to switch areas temporarily! Elder Gunson stayed in Naturita with Elder Berry and I got to go with the legend Elder Allen in Cimarron!

 Echanges with Elder Allen!

When we left Naturita I was crying my EYES OUT having to leave behind my BEAUTIFUL trailer home!!!! :(
Haha, I'm kidding I'm kidding! I only cried a little... I miss you trailer home.
Please don't think I'm a psycho, haha
I love being a missionary you get so crazy :)
Besides that, Elder Allen and I got to bike around town and we had some great lessons, dinner, and good contacting. Overall great day, sore as a munch though!

Wednesday: August 28th
So weird being on bikes but we went around the town finding people to talk to, we even taught a person who will be going to the temple for the first time and he's going to the Monticello temple! So jealous :) Bikes are hard work but a great way to enjoy the area more personally.

Thursday: August 29th
We re-exchanged back and once back in Naturita with Elder Gunson we did service for this nice couple who rents out their mansion of a cabin as a hotel! Me and my companion then were planning for another lesson with Roberta and I could feel the Rocky theme song music pumping behind me as I was getting so excited to teach this lady haha :) The lesson went really well, we taught her the Plan of Salvation, shes been struggling with the loss of her son for awhile and I cried as I promised her how she could find Complete Joy with our families again by following Christ and that our Savior is central to our path towards salvation. The Spirit was so strong, and I know Roberta's heart was touched along with mine :)
Awesome sunset yet again

Friday: August 30th
Happy Birthday Kyler!!! Hope you have a great time at the BYU game with Shay and Mc! What're you? 32? Haha, hope you had a good one brother! Today was a good day, we talked to this guy who was working on fixing his chainsaw, spilled gas everywhere on him and then proceeded to light his cigarette... haha, guess that's Nucla for you :)

Saturday: August 31st
Elder Gunson and I went to this persons house and they have a pet turkey named Tom right? Do you see where this is going? :) Well, I got a two minute video of me running around a tree laughing my head off as this turkey is chasing me around like a mad man! The only thing between me getting turkeyed was a small shovel as we went back and forth around the tree, then he turned to charge Elder Gunson and he jumped over the whole turkey! Haha, we were laughing so hard. Well that happened. We drove out to Norwood and met this guy Brandon Morris who actually wrestled against Monticello!! Back in the day he said he's wrestled Casen Eldridge, Snyders, and Robinsons! So many people here have connections to Monticello I love it :)
The culprit....

Sunday: September 1st
Wait its September? That was fast haha. Church was awesome, we had some people come who haven't in awhile so that was amazing to see them so happy. For lunch we ate Texas hog with a member, it was good! We asked another member what's the best thing about Colorado and he said "everyone not being there." Haha, savage. Also apparently my parents caved finally and we have a dog now... :)
 Top of Uncompahgre Mountains

A great scripture on faith: Alma 1:25

"Now this was a great trial to those that did stand fast in the faith; nevertheless, they were steadfast and immovable in keeping the commandments of God, and they bore with patience the persecution which was heaped upon them."

As we go through life we have trials, temptations, and doubts heaped upon us, but I can promise you that as you endure through these hard times, being patient and steadfast in your faith in Heavenly Father, then you'll receive great blessings beyond your ability to contain!
What your car will look like serving in Nucla Colorado...

Monday: September 2nd
Played a couple rounds of chess with Elder Gunson, very quiet in Nucla cause everyone is gone for Labor day, getta a email all day today!

Hope you all have a fantastic week! Feel free to email me whatevs
